A Tribute To Ken Block .... Thank You
I think it looks good!!
What part or city you rode from in Texas.
Great job, brother. I love the way it looks, just need some drag pipes, and you should be good. lol, btw i recognized the area, so I hope to run into you someday with my sportster.
Kei truck definitely
What helmet do u run on your mt07. Just bought a my09 and I’m coming off a touring Harley Davidson and the helmet I’m using will not be the trick. Thanks
My favorite entry. 🥰
yooo whats that headlight?? its really cool
BRO! Love your content. Thank you for putting up the guidance and links to your installs
Hey 👋- I live 1 mile from this place and just started MRB last week. Rode an 8 miles course in NE Pennsylvania and it was a beast. This is rated “moderate” on the all trails.com site. Would you agree with that rating? Thanks for the full ride post 🚴🏔️👍
Fuckin MOVING
Looking clean!
Buy me one!
Need to build a camper for it
Cookie did this
did you disconnect the battery when you removed the FRM? how about when you installed it back into the vehicle? Thank you
I read that the state of Maine was revoking the registrations on these because of the lack of a certification from the federal government safety standards.🙄
You can probably fit your entire Pride Parade group in it too 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
I mean you got my main issue with it being a daily on the back. Just too darn slow
1994 Ford Ranger
If you know how to handle it right whether they're laughing at you or with you doesn't matter as long as your giving people a little joy it doesn't matter
eh the friends can sit in the trunk lol
Why are you comparing it to a full size truck? There’s no comparison at all.
The best is the fuel consumption, a collegue has one, it does like 5 liters per 100 km ( 47 mpg). You are slow, but they are built to get around Town or small distances, not to travel across countries... Here in Europe i think the most sold is from Piaggio, which is basically the Daihatsu, it is used bey lots of cities for all kind of purposes. You get them new or used, but they are expensive, good used ones start at 3500 €. The funny thing is, you also can get them as bus or van, it looks very funny. I even know one in my area who can transform his bus into a camper when hes going on holidays....
Stevie approves.😁
No air bags
Besides the highway stuff, what are the cons
It's really surprising to me how you can look at something half the size of a pickup and then get mad that it's not the same exact thing as a pickup. It's 25 dollars A DAY for me to drive my pickup to work, and it's a stock Silverado. During that drive, I'm not hauling, I'm not pulling, I'm just driving. Burning gasoline. The Venn Diagram people who throw their hands in the air at gas prices, and then continue to drive a vehicle that costs 25+ a day to drive to/from work and the people in here dogging on the Kei is a circle. They are a niche vehicle - meant to occupy light utility. The US doesn't have a major commercial market for LUVs, but you would be hard pressed to find a better vehicle for navigating a busy city or getting around the property with a small load you don't want to move by hand. Stop comparing them to full-sized trucks - they aren't the same category of vehicle.
It only has 13 inch wheels. It can barely get over a curb. The whole 4x4 thing is just comical because of the fact it has no clearance. That's why we laugh at it. If you drive off road with this thing where I live it'll bury itself down to the frame in seconds. Plus it's a right side drive. Are you a post office worker? Again... We're laughing.
They start crying any time you mention crumple zone😂 , fr though i wonder if insurance would insure you fully if you got stuck in the middle of a tripple rear end sanerio being in the middle and got hurt ngl the probably wouldn't and would argue you put yourself into that situation as with a regular sized american vehicle the "crumple" or some other bs would have saved it or something idk i just dont feel like a kai truck is a good idea especially if you drive on the fucking highway smh.
The hardest part is that you are nearly uninsurable as the only places insuring them are classic car insurers who don't allow running errands or daily-use. So basically you lie to them and then have no insurance if you get dinged at a store.
I miss my 90s S10
It wont tow, it doesnt go above 60 without running it at wayyy to high of an RPM, and god forbid you hit anything going above 20. Its a death trap at anything but low speed
Gotta get me one
What’s really cool that I noticed back in the early 80 on the first Kia trks like this is down by ur feet you can see the actual back of the head lights. You have a layer of sheet metal between u and anything that hits you in the front. We got a lotta service out of the K trks with diesel engines and the biggest one was a fold down flat bed and had a 4 speed manual with shifter on the column.
Probably gets 9,000 mpg
It only goes 55. Not perfect in Houston. Drove one forever
I want a kei truck so bad. But they are at least 8k here on average
Wrong
And the government is trying to make them illegal because they want us to keep buying the big bro dozers so they can tax the shit out of us instead of letting us choose what we want based on logic. Then they claim it's because of saftey, but they will let a Willys Jeep from the 50s do 70 on the interstate...😂. I'll take the Kei Truck, please.
Death machine
Are these legal now on the highway
They have no power or any luxury 😂
They're also dirt cheap and extremely available. Not everyone in the world needs to be driving a damn escalade.
@@jackcarlson8875 less available then any pickup in the United States. Less luxurious then a base model regular cab. Also it works when you're "playing" truck but even half ton pickups can't handle much of a pay load. They're cool toys. But if you want a real small pickup get a Tacoma or any small pickup you'd be way further ahead.
@@jackcarlson8875 also those mini k trucks are slow af. You'd have a hard time keeping up with traffic in most situations without hauling anything
@@proudpennsylvaniaman7996 Tell me you've got baby-soft hands without telling me you've got baby-soft hands. "No luxury" I bet you complain when you get in a vehicle without AC.
@@archietiberius5005 are you as dumb as you sound on the internet?
Some how these stupid videos never compare to a regular cab long bed work truck. It's 3/4 of a mini van and uncomfortable
Because it's not comparable to a regular bed work truck, and you don't use it like a regular-bed work truck. It's for getting around town, and/or the property, not driving all over hell or building a house. Think Critically for a minute my guy.
Used one at a golf course as our irrigation truck and it was there 25 years before I started my 10 years there. Ran like a champ
I’ll pass on any vehicle as a daily that has “slow moving vehicle” plastered on it.
bet this "cute" truck gets 40+ MPG plus eveything you need in a truck (beside towing) none of this nonsense new technology. why does a headlight need a computer to operate? anyway i want a kei truck easy maintenance
I wouldn't say they are cute, doubt most people wouldn't either. You also left out they can't even haul half of the payload an American half ton truck can.
Read a book man.
It's pretty obvious that's not what they're for. And if you can look at one and think that they are, you are part of the problem. Kei trucks keep the entire nation-state of Japan running smoothly. They're built bullet proof and get more than 40mpg, in addition to how easy they are to work on and their reliability. You would be VERY hard pressed to come up with a better light utility vehicle.
@@archietiberius5005 Then why did he compare it to an American truck in the video. I have no doubt that they are great trucks for Japan and get very good mileage with the tiny engines in them. They don't meet EPA regulations and If your near or over six foot tall they are not going to be a comfortable experience for you.
@@Rav3nclaw43 Sounds like you should take your own advice if a four word sentence is all you muster for a rebuttal to my comment.
@@jeffscott3160 oh boy, you actually took that personally.
Sounds like you may as well have built it yourself
Too little room, doubt its very comfortable, ill stick with gmt400s for road trips and work, and my c10 for muscle trucks
Anyone who thinks that’s a perfect roadtrip car, has never been on an actual roadtrip.
This dude goes on plenty of road trips. He has a great channel.
🤘🤘🤘
@@tunerdadtunerdad7927 so, no space, no leg room, and a top speed of about 65-70ish (downhill!) is a GREAT roadtrip vehicle? You and I sir, have VERY different definitions of great.
@@mariopotuznik8002bro nothing you said fits fits the car. It got great legroom and goes well over 65mph
@@cthuluchtului650you really need to be able to cruise at 80 to make long distance road tripping bearable.
